Unsettled Local Host PositionEmbrace the unknown.
Always dreamed of exploring the world, without leaving home? Do you live for building meaningful relationships, and creating exceptional shared experiences with an incredible community? Do you love nothing more than to guide others into the most off-beat, eccentric, exciting, and authentic experiences and neighborhoods in your city? Then this position is for you...
You are a natural leader, mobilizer, hustler and community builder. All your life, you have guided people into the unknown -- be it spiritually, physically, or mentally. You thrive in new environments, crave diversity, alternative perspectives, new experiences, and living life in the moment.
You are equal parts teacher and student of life. You are highly adaptable, creative and innovative under pressure, and have a deep patience for that which is unknown, uncertain, and unpredictable. You seek solutions and opportunities for yourself and the people around you, and never complain when the going gets tough. You love working with people, asking big questions, listening deeply, and guiding them through transition.
You are a social butterfly who knows your city intimately, and have deep networks that span across multiple industries - creatives, artists, musicians, entrepreneurs, innovators, foodies, and more. You're at your best when leading -groups, tours, experiences, workshops or other situations where you're challenging people to step outside of their comfort zones, and be the best version of themselves. You are highly organized, thorough, and pay very close attention to the details.
You believe in the process more than the destination, and that it's the constant journey of growth and discovery that makes this a wonderful life.
Unsettled is a community for those who seek to take their work, life, and adventures beyond traditional borders. We are a home for those who embrace uncertainty and value meaningful human connection; who realize that feeling a little bit "unsettled" is a positive impulse for change, innovation, and exploration.
Our month-long experiences are designed for entrepreneurs, creatives, and independent workers who thrive in movement, and for those who are going through transitions in life.
We provide participants with everything needed to be connected, comfortable, and collaborative: a private room, coworking space, local hosts, and an immersive community experience filled with workshops, events, activities, and more.
What does an “Unsettled Local Host” do?
An Unsettled experience is defined by the people who make up this community: the artists, creatives, and entrepreneurs who choose to live a little less settled than the rest of us.
Our Local Host is our host in a given city; a local expert who simultaneously curates incredible experiences for our diverse community, and ensures that everything on the backend is running smoothly. He or she helps us find and organize events; lead treks and hikes (urban and mountain); run activities throughout the month; and, they make sure a positive, enjoyable, and meaningful environment is present among the group.
